escapethemap.ca is a new project on map.ca, Canada's Community Map. This community-led mapping platform is now ready for all Canadians to participate. Gameplay starts October 1. It was made in Canada for everyone.
This is a play-to-win program. As a map ambassador, you can earn up to $500 CAD and qualify for prizes and rewards through ongoing initiatives across Canada. The program is open to Canadians aged 18 years and older. Terms and conditions apply. Let's put Owen Sound on the map together.
Two ways in
You can enter the game in two ways. Join map.ca as a member to receive your @name and pin, or become a map ambassador to earn up to $500 by helping people join.
Become a Member
$21 a year, or $210 for life
A single flat fee of $21 a year gives you ownership of a pin. You do not rent visibility, deal with ads, or face intrusive tracking. Your pin works across the entire platform, even in your local Buy and Sell, without the use of bids, commissions, or algorithms.
Become an Ambassador
Earn up to $500
As a map ambassador, you can earn up to $500 CAD and qualify for prizes and rewards through ongoing initiatives across Canada. The program, the training and the payment terms are on joinmap.ca.
Game Day — The Map
### Game Day The Map shows where the game runs. We reveal several challenges throughout Owen Sound and the surrounding area each day. Some tasks take place on trails, while others are downtown, giving every area exposure. This screen stays locked until gameplay begins on October 1; until then, it explains how the game works.
